Wrecked. YET. Renewed.
Wrecked by Desire
2 Samuel 11:1-27
The story of David and Bathsheba is a story of saying “yes” when God says “no.” David’s unchecked desire led to heartbreak, betrayal, and lasting family pain. But even in the wreckage, God’s grace breaks through. Jesus—called the Son of David—redeems what’s been ruined and invites us to do the same: to break the cycle and grow by learning the power of “no.”

2 Samuel 11
1. Desire always leads somewhere.
It leads somewhere even if that is dissatisfaction.
2. Desire always grows when fed.
It can grow large enough to consume you.
3. Desire always finds justification.
Let's be honest about what we deserve.
Desire can be redeemed.
Psalm 37:4, "Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart's desires."
