Missions

At New Work Fellowship, we want everyone to KNOW Christ, GROW in Christ, and GO as the body of Christ. And this GO can be anywhere - across the world, across town, or even across the street! NWF Missions exists to equip our people to serve the God of the Universe, using their unique gifts, talents, and abilities that He has given them.

"You will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere-in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Acts 1:8

“In Jerusalem”: Hopkinsville/Christian County

NWF Missions has partnered with many organizations in town to help them achieve their purpose in Christ. We do this through donations and/or teams to help fill the needs they may have. Our local partners are:

 Alpha Pregnancy Care Center
Aaron McNeil House
Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville
Challenge Houses of Hopkinsville
Feeding America
Grace and Mercy
Redeemed and Restored
Salvation Army Soup Kitchen and Shelter
Micah Mission
Sanctuary House
Coffee Connection
The Way Youth Center (CADIZ, Ky)

NWF Missions also leads our church in celebrating “Out of the Box” Sundays, where we support the local school system, the Christian County Schools Backpack Feeding Program, and local soup kitchens.

Each adult small group at New Work Fellowship has a Missions Coordinator who organizes service and mission activities for their group. If you come to New Work, we want you to GROW with a small group as well as GO with them in Christ! Click here to find a small group!

 “In Judea”: Kentucky

We have a long-standing relationship with the Meridzo Center in Lynch, Kentucky. We send teams each year to help with needs they have, be it construction, painting, helping widows and the less fortunate with their homes, and even children’s ministry.

“In Samaria”: Queens, New York

New York City is what is called a post-modern/post-Christian culture. Jesus Christ and the church are seen more as historical than relevant today by many people who live there. We have developed a partnership with Queens Church, a church-start through NAMB, that is reaching people in Queens for Christ. We do everything from coffee giveaways in the subway system inviting people to their church to helping with ministry events in the area.

“To the Ends of the Earth”: Overseas Missions

We have several overseas missionaries that we partner alongside to help assist them in their long-standing work for Christ. In the past, we have help people in Belize, Costa Rica, Faroe Islands, Ireland, and Sweden. Here are our current churchwide partnerships:

France: We are developing a new partnership with IMB missionaries in this post-Christian culture. We will assist with VBS, women’s ministries (reach the moms, reach the families), and young adult ministries to help the local missionaries in the country.

Haiti: This is a long-standing partnership that has lasted over a decade. We partner with Global Outreach Missionaries in Titanyen, Haiti, and have led sports camps, assisted with building projects on their campus, and have funded and/or put in over seven wells in the area for the people to have fresh water to drink.

Kenya: We partner with the Lighthouse for Christ Center in Mombasa, Kenya to build churches in the bush areas of the country, and help educate ministry leaders and pastors through training and seminars.

Southeast Asia: This is a new partnership where we will be taking Christian women to work with Muslim women in a safe environment. This partnership also may grow into areas where men may come and serve in other areas as well.
