Before You Go

Who Is Jesus? Anything, Everything, Always

Colossians 1:15-20

Paul admonishes his readers to "stay true to the Lord." And when we are true, the result is we don't have to worry about anything because we pray about everything and because of that, we can always be full of joy. Jesus makes all the difference in how we live. So what does the Bible tell us about who Jesus is? He is God in the flesh. He is the embodiment of every promise of God. He is the Word of God. He is the way to Life. He is the conquerer of sin. As Jesus himself declared, "He is the way, the truth, and the life."

Before You Go

Who Is Jesus?

Colossians 1:15-20

Three things Jesus is

1. He is the image (Colossians 1:15).

The image of the invisible God means Jesus is the exact embodiment of the heart and character of God in the flesh.

The Scriptures will sometimes use firstborn as a word to show us rank and priority.

2. He is the sustainer (Colossians 1:16-18).

Jesus doesn't just hold the universe together; He holds us together.

My body is made up of 7 billion, billion, billion atoms.

3. He is the reconciler (Colossians 1:19-20).

The blood of Jesus is the only way we can move from war to peace with God.

The most beautiful part of Jesus...The one who is everything gave up everything so that you might see Him for everything that He is...EVERYTHING!
