The Outpouring

There Is More than You Think

Genesis 24:10-20

The story of Rebekah watering the camels is one of a woman who empties the jar over and over and over again. Any idea how many gallons of water she drew and emptied, drew and emptied? What began as a drink for a thirsty man became an act of service that became monumental. Sometimes we limit God because we view Him through our own limited biases. It's too much. It's too big. It's too soon. But God just calls us to draw from Him - and we will find a source that is unending. There is more in you than you think!

The Outpouring

There Is More than You Think

Genesis 24:10-20; 2 Corinthians 8:1-5

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, " and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and POUR OUT so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."

- Malachi 3:10

How do you step into the Outpouring?

1. Start with BIG/BOLD prayer

v. 14, "This is my request. I will ask one of them, 'Please give me a drink from your jug.' If she says, 'Yes, have a drink, and I will water your camels, too!' - let her be the one you have selected..."

Isaiah 65:24, "I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!"

2 Corinthians 9:11, "Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous."

2. Push past the LIMIT bias

See v.18-19

2 Corinthians 8:3, "For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford, but far more."

3. Live on the other side of YES!

See v18, 25, 58

2 Corinthians 8:5, "They even did MORE than we had hoped, for their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted them to do."

John 4:10, 13, "If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water...those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life."
