Jesus confronts the blind listeners in his world alerting them to the reality that not only is there a fight, but there is a source behind the fight. Jesus affirmed that 1) there is a devil, 2) the devil's end goal is death and destruction, and 3) the devil's primary weapon is lies.  Step one of winning the fight is understanding what Jesus understood - you have an enemy; there is a fight. There Is a Fight

John 8:31-47

Open your eyes (John 8:44, Ephesians 6:12, 1 Peter 5:8)

• We must see the reality that we are in a fight.
• The quickest way to lose a fight is to not acknowledge that you are in one.
• How can we fight, when we don't even know we're under attack?

Open your ears (John 8:31-33)

• If you want more freedom, you need more truth.
• We must spend time in the truth.

Open your heart (John 8:31-47, 1 John 4:4)

• We must trust the one who has already won the fight.
• Greater is He that is in you, than He who is in the world. Is He in you? Do you know Him?
