When I Obey Christ

1 John 2:3-11

How should my relationship with Christ create relational harmony in my life?

1) Your commitment to Christ is a commitment to His word. (2:3-6)

a. You cannot separate growth in Christ from obedience to God’s Word. (John 1:1-5)
b. If your heart has grown cold spiritually, get your head in the game: read, listen to, think about,
and obey scripture. Your heart and feet will follow.

2) Your commitment to Christ is a commitment to others. (2:7-8)

3) Your commitment to Christ is a commitment to confront hate with Biblical truth. (2:9-11). 

Relational harmony exists where diversity is done Biblically. (2 Corinthians 5:16-21)

Final Thought: You will see Christ work in ways you never could have imagined, as you are obedient to His
Word and seek harmony in your relationships.
