You can Miss it
v1, “God’s promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it.”
God’s Good Gift of Rest is the ABUNDANT LIFE.
You can Get it
v6a, “So God’s rest is there for people to enter…”
To hear God’s voice you must to be in God’s Word.
You must work for it
v9, 11, “So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. … So let us do our best to enter that rest.”
Final thought—Are we stretched too thin to live out our faith?

The New Year is a great time to reflect deeply upon what is necessary. Too much of our lives are spend on “autopilot” and we run, run, run—until we find we have run ourselves, our finances, our families and even our faith ragged. There is another way-- one where we have room to breathe, time for our families, and space for what God has planned. Simplicity in life allows us to establish margin in our living.
