Living on Purpose
Be Humble
1 Cor. 13:4
Pride is often hardest to see in ourselves and easiest to spot in others—a sure sign of our blind spots. Jesus exposes this hidden danger through a parable where pride quietly disguises itself as righteousness. Which character do you see yourself in? Which one would you want to live with, work alongside, or serve under? The invitation is simple, but challenging: embrace humility, recognize your blind spots, and get over yourself.
Living on Purpose
Be Humble
1 Corinthians 13:4; Luke 18:9-14
1 Corinthians 13:4, "Love is not...boastful or proud."
You cannot live or love on purpose if you're focused on yourself.
How can we stay humble?
1. Be honest about your condition. (Luke 18:9-13)
You'll never live with purpose if you're lying to yourself.
2. Do nothing out of performance. (Luke 18:11-13)
Pride is always present when praise is the goal.
3. Stay low before God. (Luke 18:14)
The lower you go, the more room God has to work.
