There is a spiritual connection to generosity between our heart and our hand. Jesus said where you put your treasure (invest your treasure); that it gets to your heart. You see a great example of this in the life of Zacchaeus. Before Jesus, his heart is hardened by greed. After Jesus gets ahold of him—his heart is softened. We see that he gets the generosity of Jesus when he steps into generosity. Jesus even says that Salvation has come to this house. The heart/hand connection is real. What’s happening in your heart because of what your hands are doing?

Three observations in the story of Zacchaeus:

Observation 1 - Zac's hands were full but his heart was empty.

Observation 2 - The closer Zac got to Jesus, the clearer he saw himself.

• The purpose of conviction is repentance that leads to Christ centered joy
• Repentance - Stop what is wrong and start doing what is right

Observation 3 - Jesus does the unthinkable so the impossible will happen.
