The Feast is Under it All

Exodus 12:1-51

The Passover, which began in Egypt, is transported to the land of promise - just like the people. By the time you come to Deuteronomy - the festival MUST be observed "at the dedicated place of worship." By the time you come to Jesus, it is the annual pilgrimage. Through the festival, God was not only reminding the people of what was before; He was teaching about what was to come.

The Feast is Under it All

Exodus 12, Deuteronomy 16, Luke 2:41, Revelation 19:9

In the Passover feast...God invites His people to...

Not just a way out...but a way in.

(See Exodus 3:7-8 and 12:1-3, 14)

Don't miss it: GOD DOESN'T JUST WANT TO TAKE YOU OUT OF YOUR MESS; HE TAKES YOU INTO BLESSING!

Not just a way in...but a way together.

(See Exodus 12:4 and 12:38)

Don't miss it: GOD DOESN'T JUST WANTT TO TAKE YOU OUT OF YOUR ISOLATION; HE TAKES YOU INTO FAMILY!

Not just a way together...but a way to be changed.

(See Exodus 12:3, 6; Leviticus 17:11, 1 Peter 1:18-19)

Don't miss it: GOD DOESN'T JUST WANT TO RESCUE YOU FROM SIN AND DEATH; HE GIVES YOU NEW LIFE!

Not just a way to be changed...but a way home.

(See Deuteronomy 16:5-6, Luke 2:41, Luke 22:14-16)

"The angel said to me, 'Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb'...These are true words that come from God." Revelation 19:9
