When I Grow in Christ

When I grow in Christ, I move towards spiritual maturity. (1 John 2:13-14)
a. Spiritual Maturity is the distance between God’s call and my response (Matthew 4:18-21)
b. For the Christ-follower, growth is non-optional. (1 John 2:15-17)
When I grow in Christ, I take obedience seriously. (Matthew 4:20)
a. You cannot grow outside of fellowship. (1 John 2:24-25)
b. To deny Christ is to be an antichrist. (1 John 2:18-23)
When I grow in Christ, I recognize that the stakes are high. (1 John 2:15-17)
a. Complacency is willful ignorance.
Final Thought: When I grow in Christ, I put my love into action.
