Extraordinary God, Ordinary People- Be Patiently Bold

Ruth 3:1-18

Ordinary People, Extraordinary God

Be PatientlyBold

Ruth 3

“Behind the dim unknown,

standeth God within the shadow,

keeping watch above his own.”

Romans 8:28, “We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

What does it take to be patiently bold?

(1) Discern the moment

Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

John 10:27, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

(2) Dare to risk

(3) Digest wise counsel

Proverbs 15:22, “Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.”

Proverbs 11:14, “Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.”(NKJV)

Proverbs 19:20, “Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life.”

(4) Defer control

Ephesians 4:2, “Be always humble, gentle, and patient.”

Romans 12:12, “Be patient in your troubles.”

James 5:8, “You also must be patient. Keep your hopes high, for the day of the Lord’s coming is near.”

(5) Discover Confidence

Proverbs 3:26 “…for the LORD will be your confidence…He will keep you…from being caught in a trap.”(ESV & NLT)

Final Thought: When my plans fail, God still prevails; therefore I can be patiently bold.
