First in Time

Psalm 39

How do you make the most of your time?

(1) Treasure the gift of your Time

v4a,“Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.”

(See Job 7:6, 9:25, James 4:14)

Time Principle: God cares about your time, because it is your life.

(2) Invest the gift of your Time

v6a,“We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing.”

Time principle:If it’s not on your calendar, it’s not important.

(3) Maximize the gift of your Time

v4, “Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered…”

(See Colossians 4:5)

Time principle: Life show ups in the interruptions.”

(4) Enjoy the gift of your Time

v7, “And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.”

(See Psalm 118:24, John 10:10, Ecclesiastes 11:9, 12:1)

Time Principle:God wants you to enjoy the gift of time

RegretTime Grief

Final Thought: Today is the TIME to surrender your most precious GIFT to the Lord’s DESIGN.

Series Information

The natural tendency in every area of life is to live by drift. We just wander. Have you ever considered the powerful testimony of Deuteronomy 1:2 that tells us that trip from Mount Sinai to the promise land only took on average 11 days? How do you end up wandering for 40 years? You drift.

The wiser plan is to plan and prepare in advance. Live by design. Not by drift.
