All About the Gospel

Romans 1:15-17

The apostle Paul had a unique relationship with Rome, or more accurately, the church in Rome. In Acts 19:21, Paul declared, "I must go on to Rome!" This wasn't a sightseeing tour; Paul had a nudge from the Holy Spirit. In Acts 23:11, following his arrest in Jerusalem, the Lord comes to Paul. The verse says, "That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said, 'Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well.'"

3. He knows it will have a global impact.
