Meet the Hines
Hey New Work Fellowship!
My name is Cliff Hines and my wife’s name is Bethany. We are pumped to be moving to Hopkinsville to be a part of the New Work family. We believe that God has done great things with and through the people and staff at New Work and we are glad God has called us to serve with you guys.
Bethany and I will be moving from Oklahoma City where she has lived her whole life. She spent most of her childhood attending First Baptist Midwest City where she was very involved in the youth ministry. While in college at Oklahoma Baptist University, she started interning at Choctaw Road Baptist Church, and was quickly asked to join the staff as Associate Children’s Pastor. Bethany is a super hard worker and really enjoys teaching and connecting with students and families.
Unlike Bethany, I moved around a lot! I was born in East St. Louis, IL but I spent ten of the most formative years of my life in Nashville, TN. During my time in Nashville, I got involved with The Donelson Fellowship and for about five years I served as the Assistant Children’s Pastor working with one of my mentors. During this time, I was able to serve with LifeWay during the summers as the Camp Pastor for four years at CentriKid Camps. Through these experiences my love for teaching kids and my desire for shepherding families grew tremendously - God laid on my heart a vision and a calling for ministry. God showed me that my job as a representative of the local church is to partner with parents in their mission of making disciples in their homes.
As I began conversation with Kevin and Cory, I was quickly able to feel the importance they placed on connecting with children and parents. Not only that, but I quickly noticed their desire to see families grow stronger in faith together and in their journey through life. I knew it was a God thing when I saw that our visions aligned. I am so excited to be able to connect with kids and partner with parents at New Work. I believe God has some great things in store for us and I am excited to see how they unfold.
We’ll see you soon!
